Hamilton, Ontario (Signal High) —– An unidentified Canadian police officer has been charged with assault following one or more unspecified domestic incidents dating back to 2022, 2023. The officer, alleged to hold the rank of sergeant, has also charged with mischief under $5,000. The officer is alleged to be a seventeen-year veteran of the force.
Signal High is unable to verify any of these claims as the Hamilton Police Service steadfastly refuses to identify the accused officer, and has decided not to respond to our requests for information. In almost all cases, police forces in Canada are only too pleased to identify accused persons — a practice that appears not to apply when police officers are involved. So, until we are able to positively identify this potentially dangerous criminal cop, we will publish a picture of Hamilton Police Chief Frank Bergen taken from a budget presentation in which he announced his police force will not be continuing on an anti-domestic violence program.
