Running Away

Slated to be the first major production (i.e. ‘kick at the can’) for WXFS (Signal High Studio) [more] … Running Away is an in-depth documentary that follows the lives of two young girls, sexually abused by the boyfriend of their biological mother, and turned away by police and child protection authorities. Knowing the abuse was going to continue, and likely get a lot worse, they fled Canada with their trusted and loving father, known as the Superdad of St. Catharines, but the story didn’t end there. The Canadian government hunted them like terrorists, breaking their own laws to force them back to Canada — to separate them, and get revenge for the embarrassment they caused. This is an unbelievable, one-hundred percent true story of bravery in the face of danger, and how far a father will go to protect his little girls.  It attracted international attention, and shone the light of truth on Canada.  Includes commentary and never-before seen footage.  With files from Superdad himself [link], the Friends of Two Awesome Kids Foundation [link], and underground media from the hacktivist group Anonymous Operation: Two Good Reasons [link]. In fact, it is a national epidemic. We explore the full scope of this problem and introduce the family that took a stand – the father who gave up everything, including his freedom, to protect his little girls. We pay special attention to the circumstances that led to the family having to flee Canada for their safety – running away for their lives.

Part: II | Date: TBD | Watch: [NOT-AVAILABLE] | Title: Run … Run Like Hell Description: It was only too clear that the family had to get out of Canada, for their own safety and security. We examine exactly how they managed to do this – how they were able to outrun police and gain asylum in French Territory. With never before seen footage, documentation and first-hand reporting, we look at the lengths they went to in order to protect themselves.

The man who assaulted them is free and the authorities have never been held accountable for their laughable, ongoing errors and negligence. Support is still strong for the family but there are so many factors yet to be uncovered. This, while the Canadian people get more and more angry at their government for not doing more to secure the rights of children and fathers.

Part: V | Date: TBD | Watch: [NOT-AVAILABLE] | Title: Malicious Prosecution Description:  We are eagerly awaiting the trial of Superdad.  Canadian justice officials have dragged the case out for years, so the process punishes Superdad without having his day in court.  Superdad, on the other hand, has submitted thousands of documents and lined up dozens of witnesses.  The police and child protection authorities are hiding behind the gag orders, and the courts just bounce the case around.  Superdad hasn’t seen his girls in over two years, yet they steadfastly refuse to see their biological mother.  They are being held in a custodial facility and being worked over badly.  This part has yet to be finished as we are awaiting the outcome of trial, but we have been advised to expect lengthy and protracted civil litigation in the months to come.
