Our Culture
Most news agencies onboard full-time journalists into a tightly controlled, corporate environment. Their jobs are rigidly defined and they are expected to tow the company line. They seek out same-minded people and pigeon hole them into specific little functions.
We take a much different perspective. We seek to onboard on a competitive ‘as you wish’ basis, meaning you can work as much or as little as you want. If you want to write one article per month, so be it. If you want to write one per day, that’s fine too. We seek out good people — focusing much less on academic qualifications or spotless employment histories. We want real people to investigate real news, and to report the reality to real people.
In our estimation, your “I WILL” is much more important than your I.Q. — or your ‘I Have’. Cutting to the chase, we want people who can, excuse the language, ‘smell the bullshit a mile away’; who can close in like sharks and get at it. We want people who will relentlessly pursue truth.
