August 2017: Alternative News Wire
Signal High News Corporation started off as Signal High Networks Inc. in Niagara Falls, Canada — established August 8, 2017, with the goal of operating an alternative national news wire. We reported on police violence and corruption, lack of accountability in government, and the failures of contemporary media. We were founded as a news media organization and not an activist group; however, we quickly earned the reputation of being aggressive, intensive and relentless in the pursuit of truth.
We investigated contentious news stories, never afraid to expose the whole truth. We started by researching stories, writing articles, and selling them to other publications. We built a following and incurred threats from authorities. We relied on good sources and quality analysis, and continue to do so today.
February 2021: BadCop.Online
BadCop.Online was introduced to a limited trial audience on February 26, 2021, as a streaming news production. It gained momentum, reporting on the highly contentious and controversial deaths of Eric Garner, Javier Ambler, Manuel Ellis, Elijah McClain, George Floyd, and countless others. It exposed corruption, concealment and crooked cops. The business model developed for BadCop.Online has since been applied to other online publications, earning Signal High a seat at the table.
July 2021: Into the United States
Since inception, we have grown — from a small basement operation to a global force for truth — incorporating radio and studio broadcasting, simulcast and streamed around the world. We found a home in New York City and later in Delaware, walking away from Canada in favour of U.S. incorporation. Today we are almost entirely decentralized — a bunch of digital nomads, one might say; however, we have remained true to our roots: we report the news that matters — we relentlessly pursue truth.
March 2024: International Expansion
We had established news bureaus in Toronto (Canada) and London (England). Small but mighty, investigative reporters began reporting on truth from those countries. We were reporting about foreign places, in foreign languages, and opening our markets globally. We also took a step back, rethinking the way our radio and studio broadcasting was produced and delivered. Some programs were taken ‘off the air’ for ‘retooling’.
August 2025: Restructuring, Eyes North
In early August 2025, an internal study reported two very important facts. First, we had attracted a measurable following in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Second, our domestic American audience was taking more and more interest in our international reporting — the world from the eyes of an American news agency.
After great consideration, a decision was made to focus more on news abroad, and less on domestic U.S. news headlines. This was inspired in part by the challenges we were facing as a small business, keeping up with the rapidly changing political, economic, and security landscape in the U.S. We had a hard time recruiting and retaining talent, especially investigative reporters, and rapid restructuring in government made it difficult to identify and press sources.
It was time to change our mix. We would remain a U.S. company, headquartered in Delaware, but we decided to invert our focus — reporting predominantly on news from Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries outside the United States. This shift in direction led to a company-wide restructuring and rebranding.
