/PG/ New York City (Signal High) for PowerGames.Online —– One week after having his home raided, and telephone seized by federal agents, New York Police Commissioner Edward Caban has resigned, Mayor Eric Adams announced.
Caban was the third police commissioner in three years, in charge of the largest police force in the world. He will be replaced by Tom Dolan, former chief of the FBI National Threat Center and one of the key investigators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Dolan also had a hand in the investigation into U.S. navy ships in Yemen. He is a native of the Bronx.
Last week, the homes of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III and Chancellor of New York City Public Schools David C Banks were all raided by federal officials. Prior to this, officials raided the home of Brianna Suggs, chief fundraiser of Mayor Eric Adams.
